Bahamian wins Wimbledon

For the first time in history, a Wimbledon champion hails from The Islands of The Bahamas. In July, 2009, Mark Knowles became the first Bahamian to win Wimbledon as he and partner Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany won the mixed doubles title.
