St. John’s steep hills for walking, and fish filled waters for snorkeling promote a healthy lifestyle. Some of the beach bars are another story, with big gulp coladas and rum fueled sunsets.

Nature’s Way, a vegan deli, now in it second year of operation on the second floor of the Starfish Market complex, offers a welcome respite from unhealthy island indulgences. A savvy selection of salads, sandwiches and wraps proves that good for you can also taste terrific.

Try the popular Nature’s Way signature salad wrap with avocados, mushrooms and spouts, the jerk tofu wraps with a mango salsa plantain, and a coconut aioli, a green papaya salad, or the 16 ounce smoothies, available with soy milk. Add island affordable to these attractions in the $6 to $9 range.
